Sounds of a Tennesse Spring

Mike,

When you went to do evening chores
Did you hear the sounds of Spring?
Leaves rustlin' in a tall Oak,
Frogs croakin' in a rain water ditch,
Whipporwills callin' at sunset,
Rain birds forecastin' another gentle shower,
Mockingbirds practicin' their latest imitation,
Locusts scratchin' in their old skin shells,
Katydids warmin' up in ragged harmony,
Crickets scufflin' in the green grass.
So, when you went to do evening chores
Did you hear the sounds of Spring?
I know you did, cause you're like me,
With ears to hears such things.
